After 17 years, Michigan Animal Rescue League (MARL) has chosen SWEET as the fundraising software for its walkathon.
Proving that its never too late to improve your event, MARL has enhanced an already successful event by adding online registration and donation capabilities.
Like many organizations with longstanding events that are not online, one of the concerns has to be whether or not a software/website can be customized to match the needs of the event which have evolved over seeral years.
With so many vendors that offer template based websites, often orgs find themselves changing their event to match the software instead of finding a website that matches the nuances of their event.
For other nonprofits in the same boat, if you're looking for a website or software for your walkathon, I urge you to find a system that is flexible enough to be tailored to your event and not the other way around.
